- Origin: Native to India, Nepal, and Pakistan, living in slow-moving rivers, sandy streams, and rocky riverbeds.
- Popularity: Very popular for its striking black-and-silver pattern, active nature, and playful behavior. The “Yo-Yo” name comes from the markings on its body, which often resemble the letters Y-O repeated along the sides.
