  • Origin: Native to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, originally inhabiting rice paddies, streams, and shallow ponds.
  • Popularity: A stunning and unique selectively bred Betta strain, known for its elegant crown-like fin rays and signature two-tone coloration — a pale body contrasted by vibrant fins.

🎨 Appearance

  • Color: Creamy or flesh-colored body with bright red, blue, or turquoise fins (depending on the strain).
  • Structure:
    • Distinct spiky fins where webbing is reduced between rays — the hallmark of Crowntails.
    • Males display longer, more elaborate fins; females are shorter and rounder.
  • Size: Average 2.5–3 inches (6–8 cm).
  • Lifespan: Typically 3–5 years, longer with proper care and stable water conditions.

    • Avoid strong filtration — Bettas prefer calm waters.
    • Keep a lid or cover, as Bettas can jump.
