  • Popularity: A popular aquarium favorite for its shark-like appearance, peaceful temperament, and energetic schooling behavior — making it a fascinating addition to large freshwater aquariums.

🎨 Appearance

  • Color: Sleek silver body with a metallic sheen and distinct black-edged fins.
  • Structure:
    • Streamlined, torpedo-shaped body.
    • Triangular dorsal fin resembling a shark’s fin.
    • Large reflective scales that shimmer under aquarium lighting.
  • Size: Can grow up to 12–14 inches (30–35 cm) in captivity.
  • Lifespan: 8–10 years with proper care and a spacious tank.
