- Origin: Descended from wild Bettas native to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The King Galaxy Betta is a selectively bred variety known for its larger size, marble patterns, and galaxy-like speckling.
- Popularity: Highly sought after for its stunning metallic blue spots, deep base coloration, and larger, fuller body, making it a prized show fish.
🎨 Appearance
- Color:
- Deep navy, black, or royal blue base, covered with iridescent “galaxy” spots in blue, turquoise, and white.
- Many have contrasting red, orange, or yellow accents on fins.
- Structure:
- Larger than standard Bettas — known as “King Betta” due to enhanced size.
- Stronger body build with broad fins (may be Halfmoon, Plakat, or Over-Halfmoon depending on the line).
- Striking marbling patterns continue to shift during the fish’s life.
- Size:
- Typically 3–3.5 inches (7.5–9 cm) — bigger than regular Bettas.
